My twelve year old son has Asthma and has since he was a child. It is not severe, but at times can be very uncomfortable for him, especially when he is trying to sleep. While at his doctors appointment last month, we were discussing different medications available and the doctor asked if we had ever considered Ephedrine for Asthma.
He suggested that we buy Ephedrine and try that for a month to see if it would help. It was available without a prescription and he thought, given the severity or lack of severity of Chad’s asthma that an over the counter treatment might be the way to go.
He told us to buy the Biotek Ephedrine, which was typically the best type in treating asthma. He said it would loosen up Chad’s chest, allowing him to rest better, and that might be all the treatment he needs. We are definitely going to give it a try. We have nothing to lose.
My sister just had her first baby a few days ago. I wanted to get her something healthy for her baby and not just some junky balloon or doodad.
While out shopping I spotted the perfect gift: some organic baby clothing. Reading the tags, I found out that they were free from dyes and chemicals commonly found in store bought clothes.
Figuring that there would be other organic options I continued my search. I found some organic baby bedding as well. I was a little shocked at the price they were demanding so I passed the bedding over.
Out of the couple of organic baby clothes I found, I liked the dress the best and that is the one that I bought. I need to set a good example now and get her something nice - I want to be her favorite uncle. I hope that my sister likes my choice too. I guess I will find out when I go up to the hospital this afternoon.
This Friday was much like the other Fridays this year - we spent it doing management training. Each week, we are taught about another aspect of our company so as to make us well rounded managers.
This week, we were looking at two different areas. The firs area we looked at was regarding our online store. They brought in our shopping cart application developer to show us how it worked. He provided us with a walk through of our shopping site through the eyes of a customer. It was very interesting and informative, since I had never ordered from the site before.
We also had a presentation on our hiring practices and policies. A representative from the recruitment agency that we use was there to show us how the hiring practice worked and where we found our employees. We also learned why our company outsources it hiring - but I am not at liberty to discuss it here (company secret you know).
This was our last training session until the new year. It will be nice to have a break from the classroom for a few weeks.
It is that time of year again and I promised myself I would not get stressed out again. Christmas usually makes me cranky as I try to get all of the shopping, wrapping and preparations ready. This year, I decided that I was going to do all of my shopping online, in my pajamas, and that is exactly what I did.
I found a few very trendy handbags for my sister and my best friend. They are both going to be so pumped to get them as they both love purses. This was the easy part as they are easy to shop for. I was finished their orders rather quickly. Now, on to the harder family members.
I decided that I would get shirts for my dad and my brother, but I wanted something nice and out of the ordinary. I ended up finding them a nice pair of fleece sweaters that will look great on them, and since I ordered them online, they will be different than what everyone else is wearing around here.
My mom is the hardest person to buy for. She has tons of clothes and just really doesn’t need anything. She couldn’t even give us any ideas when asked what she wanted. I was just browsing around one day and I came across some beautiful Persian rugs. I found one that would match my mom’s sitting room furniture perfectly. I know she will just love it and it is something she never would have thought of.
So, now I have all of my shopping done and I just finished the wrapping. I love this no stress holiday and I think I will shop like this every year.
Alright, I don’t mean jumping off a plane, or playing chicken on the highway. What I am talking about here is money. Most people play it safe when they make an investment, and put their money into a stock or mutual fund. That is fine and dandy if you want to wait until you are sixty five to retire, but I have other plans.
I have decided that I only want to work until I am forty and then retire. This way, I will still be young enough to do everything that I want to, but at the same time, it will give me enough time to come up with a retirement nest egg. How am I going to retire so early?
Well, I am like most people and do have some money invested in the stock market through mutual funds and stocks. But my real secret of how to make money fast is what I do with the rest of my investment portfolio.
For awhile now, I have been a part of a few high yield investment programs. For a few of you, this concept will be new, and for a few of you, you may have been burned by one in the past. But from my experiences, I have been consistently earning at least 20% per month on my investments for almost two years now. Comparing that to my mutual funds, well, my mutual funds suck.
Perhaps my biggest secret is that I did a lot of due diligence before I invested. By finding the good companies and avoiding the scams I have succeeded where others have failed. Is it risky? Sure it is. But when you get 20% return on your investment each month, risky never felt so good.
You have not lived until you have traveled throughout Spain in a motorhome rental. My family and I did that this past winter and it was the greatest trip we have ever taken. The kids thought it was great and we got to see so much more of the country than we would have if we had stayed at a resort.
We had never thought of doing this before, as we had always booked our holidays all-inclusive. We saw a link online for "holiday rentals Spain" and it gave us the idea for the motorhome tour.
We did get a couple of villa rentals, just so we could relax and enjoy some of the festivities. But, all in all, we enjoyed the driving part best. It gave us such a new perspective on traveling abroad and I don’t think we will ever travel any other way again. Seeing the landscape is definitely the way to go.
I received my computer magazine in the mail today and I was excited. I am a big computer nut and it is exciting to read about the new computers that are on the market, new components, and things I should be adding to my wish list. I have been an avid reader of this magazine for five years now, and I just couldn’t wait to open it.
Well… I am not too happy.
You see, one of the big reasons that I love this magazine is that they had few advertisements inside. But, this issue was different. Seems that they needed a lot of advertising revenue so there was more advertising inside than content.
What really made me mad was a section on the best registry repair tools. Just as I finished reading the Registry Easy review and started on the Regcure review, I noticed at the bottom of the page that it was a paid advertisement page. I really hate pages that are designed to look like a part of the magazine when they are really advertising - talk about misleading your customer.
So, I think I will give it one more month, and if they continue to be full of more fluff than stuff, I will have to cancel my subscription. Besides, I could always get the information off of the Internet anyway.
I know that when I started out with my first website, I had no money. I mean, I had to scrounge up the cash just to set the site up. Now, a few years later, I do have more money to pay to promote my sites, but in the early days, I needed to be a little more resourceful.
For those of you out there that are just starting out and have no budget to promote your site, hang in there. In the meantime while you are building your site’s link popularity, you can submit your site to as many free directories as you can. The trick with this is consistency - by submitting your site to a free general directory a couple times per day each day, you will be increasing the backlinks to your site, increasing your traffic, and in turn your income should increase.
I have a resource for you that can help you out finding directories that you can list your site on. If you take a look at these 8000 web directory listings, you will find that many of them are free and are great places to submit your sites. Just follow the following mantra when promoting your sites:
Submit your site to a links directory or two each day,
And you will find traffic heading your way.
Well it is official - I have decided that it is time to start promoting my site. You see I have a site about home plumbing repair and it is not getting a lot of traffic. That is sad because I know that there is very little competition for that topic and it should be more popular than it it. So, instead of complaining about it, I have decided to do something about it.
Specifically I have been doing a bit of free directory submission, you know, submitting my sites manually to free directories. But, let me tell you, it is perhaps the most tedious thing that I have ever done - and my hands hurt from sitting here typing all day.
I was talking to one of my friends that is also a webmaster and he suggested that I could use a directory submission service and they would do all the work for me. He suggested a couple that he had used in the past, and for the price, I don’t know why I was wasting my time doing it myself.
So, I have placed an order, and it is supposed to be completed in the next couple of days. I know that the increase in traffic won’t be immediate, but I cannot wait to see the difference it will make. Well, now that I have all this free time, maybe I should start another site…
I was with a friend for coffee the other day and we happened upon discussing our teenage granddaughters. It seems that we have something in common – both of our granddaughters suffer from severe cases of acne, which they can’t get under control. We also discussed acne treatment alternatives that were available to the girls today.
When I was young, we pretty much had one option for treating acne and that was rubbing alcohol. If that didn’t work, you just lived with it. My friend told me that her granddaughter had been using Vitamin B5 to try and control her acne.
When talking to my granddaughter afterwards, I suggested that she should try using these vitamins. She informed me that she was already ahead of me and had just begun using Vilantae, which was made form the same vitamin. She was happy with her results so far.
I called my friend and told her this and she said she would let her granddaughter know about the product and how well it seemed to be working. She thanked me for the information and I informed her that was what friends were for.
