When I was helping my sister plan her wedding, she seemingly turned into Bridezilla overnight. It was all going good and then one day it just all blew up. Maybe someone stuck a pea under the princess’s mattress, but it was almost more than I could handle. I love her, but she turned into a completely different person.

She was nattering on about wedding favors and I suggested that she go with something practical. She went off into a tangent about how it was her wedding and if and when I ever decided to get married, I could have all the practical favors I wanted. She insinuated that I was trying to ruin her wedding because I was jealous that she was getting married before me.

I stormed out of the room and told her that she should find someone else to help her from now on. She said that was a good idea because I had no experience and did not know what I was doing.

That was a few months ago, and now that the wedding is over, she has returned to her pleasant self. She did apologize for her behavior, but part of me wonders if there is some irreparable damage. I know I will not forget her unkind words any time soon.
