One of my most favorite times of year is spring.  I love the end of the dreary winter, the end of having to shovel the driveway, and the promise of summer.  But, there are some other things that I treasure about the season of new beginnings.

First off, I would have to say that one of my favorite things about spring is the chance to walk in mud puddles with my children.  Honestly, I don’t think I have ever really grown up, and playing in the mud is just so much fun.  Couple that with playing with young children, and you have a recipe for smiling faces and dirty clothes.

Perhaps my most favorite part of spring is the new fragrances that greet your nose.  Instead of smelling nothing in the cold, you can smell the snow melting, the rain falling, and the flowers blooming.  These smells make me feel more alive than any other time of the year, and breathe life into my soul.

I am so happy that spring is here – nothing ever smelled so good.
