I decided that for my son’s third birthday that I was going to buy him a new bedding set for his little toddler bed. That is, until I got to the store and saw the prices they wanted for a ridiculously little amount of fabric. I refused to pay those prices and walked out of the store shaking my head.
I decided to go and look at the baby bedding, as his bed was the same size as his crib had been. I thought maybe I could buy a set and alter it to be a little more grown up, instead of looking babyish. It was going to be a lot more cost-effective doing it this way and I knew that he really wouldn’t care.
I found a pattern with trains and airplanes on it that I knew he would fall in love with instantly. It is very boyish and he would even match the wallpaper in his bedroom. I did a few alterations to it and it worked out perfectly.
