When I got my first job, I was working in an office that deals mainly with deed polls. As I knew very little about it, I felt a little bit lost at first, but the staff was great at welcoming me and showing me the ropes. I was only supposed to work there a year and then go back to school, but as the year progressed, I knew it was going to be harder and harder to leave my new family.
I ended up getting promoted and staying at the job. I loved my people and I even loved spending my days helping others to fill out business forms, as tedious as that sounds. At the end of the work day, several of us go out for coffee, as we have become very good friends.
I am currently applying for an internal promotion, in which I would mainly be dealing with company resolutions. Several people had suggested that I would be good at it and they all said they would put in a good word for me.
I was been a firm believer they should dressed to the nines and portray the best image of yourself wherever you go. I guess is as a result of my business background and my belief that first impressions are most important.
With that in mind, I make sure that the suits that I wear are matched perfectly with unique cufflinks specific to the event that I’m attending. Not only does that make me an eye turner when I walk into the room, but I leave a lasting impression those people who speak with me.
In my collection of cufflinks, you can find everything from gold cufflinks to skull cufflinks and everything in between. Sure, you won’t find me wearing the skull ones to a Sunday church service, but they do have their place in my collection.
I’m continuously adding more cufflinks to my collection and am proud to say that I have many that I bet you’ve never seen before.
When we decided that our kids were old enough to take on a big vacation, the vote on where we should go was unanimous. I decided to look online and see if I could find a deal on Disney World tickets, as we thought we could give them to the kids for Christmas and plan to take the trip during the kid’s spring break from school.
I was astounded at the amount of information that I found online and I ended up getting a pretty great deal on Disney Hopper tickets. When we got them, I found that I was nearly as excited as the kids and I started checking things out online to plan what we would do on the trip.
When I was in the Disney World website, every time there was information that said to click here, I found myself clicking just to check it out. The vacation is coming up and we all cannot wait to get away for a week.
Since our finances have been a little bit better lately, I thought it was a good opportunity to take a break and travel somewhere that I’ve never been before. I wasn’t necessarily looking for one of those cheap holidays that everyone talks about, but I was for really going for the experience and the opportunity to broaden my horizons.
So I went online and searched around to see if I could find a great destination were I had never been and where no one I knew had gone before. As it turns out, I’ve decided to go to Icmeler Turkey as it looks like an amazing place.
I have even been able to take advantage of cheap flights to Turkey that are currently available online and even a promo code for a hotel in Icmeler.
It looks like it is going to be a great trip, and since we are leaving in just a few days, I better get packing.
After getting hurt at work and breaking my leg, my income was near to non-existent. Thankfully, I did have some savings, but they were quickly wiped out. Sure, my wife was still working, but she didn’t make enough to cover all of our expenses - we were in trouble.
The big mistake that we did was bounce our car insurance payment - and in turn the company canceled our home and auto insurance coverage. We couldn’t just leave ourselves unprotected from theft or damage and we needed to do something.
Since I couldn’t drive, we sold the car. We decided that the money that we received from the sale would be put towards a new home insurance policy. After the car was sold, we decided to shop around for car insurance.
I was able to get many home insurance quotes from the comfort of my own home thanks to the Internet. I printed them out, and my wife and I decided on the one we could afford and bought it. It sure felt better knowing that our home and belongings were protected - if we didn’t have Internet access, we would have had to leave everything up to chance.
When I was going to tech school, I was really interested in learning about gsm encryption. We live in an ever changing technological world and I thought that it would be good business sense to keep on top of all the newer security features that were offered in the electronics that I would one day be building.
I decided to take extra classes just to learn more about encryption software. I thought it certainly would not hurt when it came time for me to look for a job. A potential employer would most likely be impressed at my knowledge in the field.
I was right. I was hired based on my knowledge of phone encryption. In fact, I spent a lot more time coming up with software plans for the company rather than building the actual phones. I ended up with a pretty sweet job and I now officially have my own office.
My husband recently had LASIK laser eye surgery and he is very pleased with the results. He is trying to talk me into having the surgery as well, but I am scared of doctors and I do not think that I could willingly go through with surgery unless it was something that was medically life threatening.
He explained that the Wavefront LASIK was not a major surgery and that there was nothing to be afraid of, but he does not understand the fear that I have. He is one of the bravest people that I know and I know that there is very little that scares him. I, however am not like him at all. I am scared of everything.
I tried to reason with him that the LASIK Costs were too much for us both to have it, but he saw right through my facade. I don’t know if he will one day be convincing in his arguments, but I do know that now is not the time for me to get over my fears. I need more time.
When I finished high school and moved out on my own, it was a very traumatic experience. I was used to living in a large house with all of the luxuries I could ever need and the only apartment I could afford was very small and it didn’t even have a bathtub. It was really hard for me to get used to taking showers.
I lived in that apartment for two years and then I decided to go to college. I gave up the apartment and moved into a dorm. When I took a tour of the dorm and saw the shower cubicles, I thought it was funny that I was actually going to miss my little apartment shower.
I got used to the electric showers in my dorm fairly quickly and ended up loving the college life. It seems like ages ago, and I am now living, with my husband, in the house I always dreamed of. I have to admit that there is nothing like taking a long soak in the tub after eight years of only showers.
I did not know what to get my son for his birthday. Ever since he got a job, he buys what he wants and does not leave much room for the rest of us to get him gifts. I bought him a Zune car charger for his birthday, only to find out that he had already owned one for months.
I do not want to give him money, as I feel it is very impersonal and under appreciated. I thought that I could maybe get him a new Zune dock cable, as the one he has now is getting quite old. When I told him that he should give me a list of suggestions, he said that I could just give him clothes, but how much fun is that.
I ended up getting him a Zune travel charger, a new dock and a pair of jeans. He seemed pretty happy with the choices and I am glad, as I don’t foresee me being able to get him very many more gifts that he will enjoy.
I have always believed that if you have a talent, you should share it with the world. Whether it be something like painting, teaching, or even SEO, by sharing your talents, it helps others out.
So, when a good friend of mine asked me to help him with a SEO challenge that he entered, I wanted to know a little more information. You see, I have been doing SEO for the better part of eight years, and have had little difficulty getting rankings for the websites that I have created.
I decided that I wanted to read a little more about what it would mean to be a Busby SEO challenge supporter, and how I was supposed to conduct myself as a marketer for the challenge. I just didn’t want to promote his site in any way that would mean he would be disqualified - especially when money is on the line.
After reading up on what was needed, I am ready to finally help. We are going to develop an aggressive marketing plan, and hopefully he will be able to win the prize money - we’ll just have to wait and see.
