Do I need a costume for class?
Exercise garments are worn in the classroom. Leotards, shorts and blouse, swimsuit, any clothing article that will allow you the freedom to move. Footwear is bare feet, soft shoe, soft sandals or a pair of socks. A hip scarf is helpful. These are available at the studio. Intermediate class will require a skirt and veil. The costume that your child will wear will actually be the property of The Theater Factory. Your tuition payment will cover the materials needed to construct your child’s costume, the payment we make to the costume designers and the rental fee for the use of that costume. A note about costume changes at our studio: We require that all of our students wear either a bathing suit, (a one piece for girls), gym trunks or gymnastics suit under their costume to preserve modesty during costume changes. That depends. Are you dressed as a gundam (or any other giant robo) with a 6 foot laser rifle? This question has been asked so so many times when the answer is so simple.

What is a costume?
It depends on what kind of costume you want and how much you are willing to invest. Most fukus are made out of gabardine, suraline, or other suiting material. I do not use cheap cotton unless it is specifically requested by the customer. I really do not like to take requests like that, however, and I am more likely to deny your commission if presented with such a request. I will use higher-quality materials upon request, of course, at additional cost.It depends on what kind of costume you want and how much you are willing to invest.
