Marriage Advice For Feeling More Love

Posted By Johnnie S Laney on April 9, 2009 @ 3:56 am
by Johnnie S Laney

We get into relationships for the love, right? Love is what we want to feel. The more we experience, the more intimacy and more close the relationship seems to us.

But most of us feel no true sense of control over how much love we can experience or provide for our partner. At first we felt a lot of love and appreciation from our mate. In the courting phase, it was pretty great.

After the initial falling in love phase is over, how we feel loved shifts. Sometimes we feel it, sometimes we don’t.

However, there is a way to make each other feel really loved every day. Maybe twice or five times as loved as we normally do. This skill can be called the Love Multiplier.

Feeling much more love in your relationship is not hard. You simply need to discover your structure for feeling loved. You have a structure or personal way for feeling loved. When your partner does this or that you feel loved, when they do other things, you don’t.

When a fly buzzes by your ear on a hot day you probably are not overwhelmed by feelings of love. When your man whispers hot nothings into your ear you may have some pretty strong feelings of love. The fact that the buzzing fly doesn’t turn you on but the hot whisperings do is a clue. Some things make you feel loved. Some don’t!

Is this a revelation or what??

Emotions don’t just occur randomly. Feelings get triggered often by various things. Love is exactly the same. Once we figure out which things our mate does that make us feel loved, we can start to feel it much more regularly.

We each have a unique way that we feel love. Some of us feel it kinesthetically, through certain kinds of touch. Others visually, through our mate dressing up for us and showing us a good time. You just need to figure out what your mate does that pushes your love button, and figure out what pushed their love button. Then start pushing their love buttons and have them start pushing yours.

There is much more to this, but with a little attention you can start to feel more love in your relationship on purpose.

Arthritis and your pet

Posted By Cheryl L. True on @ 3:16 am
by Cheryl L. True

Arthritis doesn’t discriminate. It affects not only people of all ages — including children — but also strikes our furry friends too. If you’re a dog-owner, be sure to check your dog for signs of arthritis.

This common condition affects one in every five adult dogs in the United States and is one of the most common sources of chronic pain in pets.

How do you know if it’s arthritis? Your dog can’t tell you what’s wrong so take note of your pet’s non-verbal communication. It may its own way of telling you how bad things are.

Signs that your dog may have arthritis include favoring a limb, difficulty sitting or standing, sleeping more, stiff or sore joints, hesitancy to jump, run or climb stairs, weight gain, decreased activity or less interest in play, attitude or behavior changes, and being less alert.

If your dog has any of these symptoms for more than two weeks, see a vet for an arthritis evaluation which will involve a physical exam and possibly X-rays.

The best way to manage arthritis in your pet is to get an accurate diagnosis and start treatment plan as soon as possible.

Treating canine arthritis is similar to human arthritis and therapies may include:

A healthy diet and exercise plan to help maintain proper weight.

Effective drug therapy to relieve pain – this usually involves the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) – the most common treatment for arthritis in dogs.

Over-the-counter pet treatments containing either glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate or omega fatty acids may also be used. These may help relieve the symptoms of arthritis in dogs.

Follow your vet’s instructions and never give your dog human medication without checking with your veterinarian first. Certain medications can be toxic to dogs — particularly acetaminophen and ibuprofen — and a safe dose will differ between a greyhound and a dachshund.

No matter how you treat your dog’s arthritis, work closely with a veterinarian for best results.

If your dog or cat suffers from arthritis pain, don’t make it suffer any longer. Relieve joint pain, lubricate the joints, increase flexibility and improve mobility with this best aspirin for dogs.

Tips To a Great Dissertation Topic

Posted By Nick Sanders on April 8, 2009 @ 3:05 am
by Nick Sanders

When you’re looking at choosing a dissertation topic, this is generally going to be through a choice made by you and your lecturer/professor. Most often, students, when they are thinking about a dissertation topic, should attempt to narrow down their topic to one that is specific and can adequately researched. However, the opposite is commonly true, as many lecturers sometimes feel that students want to research the world when they are thinking about a topic on which to write their dissertation research paper.

When you are looking at topics, you should only consider ones that are within the area of academia that the professors and lecturers within your school cover. If you are looking at a topic outside their field of research, then your dissertation research project may not be granted. You want to be able to seek advice from your supervisor and be able to understand that you can ask them different questions and queries about the subject and the process. They’re not there to test you, but they will encourage your analytical thinking and judgment and encourage you to think about the topic from a number of different angles.

If you are on a business management degree course and you are studying a marketing module on, then you may consider choosing a neiche area on this topic. If you are thinking of researching women’s views of buying a beauty product from newspaper advertising then this would be a very broad topic and not suitable. Also, if you then revise this to be on a regional stance, then this would still be too broad. You will want to ensure that the topic and area of your dissertation research paper is very specific and focuses on only a few key elements.

You should also look for a dissertation research topic that you are interested in and something that you have at least basic knowledge of. If you don’t have at least some interest in the topic then you could become bored easily and therefore, not be able to complete the paper. Also, you will probably be like many other individuals who crave the aspect of learning something new.

When you are looking into a topic for your dissertation, you will want to understand what area you want to work in. You will need to speak to your dissertation supervisor about your thoughts, but you should be flexible to their advice, as they will most probably add to the area you are looking at. After you have agreed in the specific topic, you should look to write the dissertation proposal and look to have this approved by your supervisor.

You will most probably be doing a lot of thinking at this stage and be discussing the topic of your dissertation not only with your supervisor, but also with friends and family to get their point of view on what you are attempting to research.

From all of the research and thinking you are doing, and discussions with your supervisor and friends (the latter I would strongly advise), you should be formulating a plan of how your work is going to be shaped. This isn’t an easy task, but was it in academia?

Step to Take in Dealing with Medical Negligence

Posted By Laurence Mecaro on @ 3:04 am
by Laurence Mecaro

Defining medical malpractice

Simply, if your doctor fails to inform you of any risk, complication or details of a procedure and the intern has a negative affect on you it is considered medical negligence. Further more, any conduct unbefitting of a professional or anything from anyone on staff that does not live up to set codes of conduct and care standards is negligence and is grounds for a malpractice suit.

Not all complications arising from surgery is due to some form of negligence. All medical procedures come with some kind or risks and there is always the potential for complications. Of course your physician should inform you of any foreseeable risks prior to an operation. Medical malpractice occurs when a doctor, nurse or any other medical staff act in a manner that does not uphold the accepted expectations for treatment. Whether that be misinformation, inappropriate conduct or poor surgical practise.

Prior to Taking Legal Action

Consider following the advice:

Contact a medical malpractice lawyer as soon as possible. It is best to deal with the situation as quickly as possible. Also there are certain statues of limitations if you wait too long.

A good lawyer will want all the facts and documentation before taking on your case. Try to have everything organized to make the process a smooth one. You should also be advised to consult your physician (your lawyer should be present) in order to clear any misconception up and preferably to resolve that matter right there and then.

There is the possibility that despite the fact that the physician is at fault he or she may refuse to offer any form of compensation. At this point it is wise to file a claim with the management of the clinic or medical facility and then with the College of Physicians.

Proceeding with Legal Action or Law Suites

Getting the Compensation You Deserve:

Suffering because of someone elses negligent behaviour is unacceptable and compensation should be sought especially if you have lost wages or have to pay extra medical bills. Most attorneys will try everything in their power to reach a fair compensation for the client out side of court for several reasons: 1) malpractice cases are tricky and often have a very good defence 2) the cases are typically ling and the other party will draw it out and stall it 3) these cases are very costly and the longer it goes on the less of the money you will see 4) there is a chance no matter how just that your case will be over turned.

A great deal of information and resources may be on the website.

Mass Personal Injury Protection Law and Benefit Summary

Posted By Lucille Green on April 7, 2009 @ 5:09 am
by Lucille Green

Accidents on the road are a fact of life, not matter how good a driver you are so isn’t it a good idea to look after yourself with a personal injury protection plan? Most people also have other responsibilities; those of a financial nature and family members that will need to be provided for. Personal injury protection or PIP may be a part of a larger personal insurance plan or a specific plan in itself. With the growing number of insurance plans on the market, all of which sound necessary, each family has to weigh up the benefits against the additional financial strain that can be imposed by adding it.

It is important to remember the protection should cover everything that is required otherwise it is a waste of time and money. Most US states have already passed laws to ensure people have personal injury and other forms of insurance although the amount of cover is not consistent. In Alaska for example a car driver will require ten times the amount of coverage that a driver in Florida will need. While there are a few states left that do not require personal injury protection by law yet, it is only a matter of time but that does not mean you cannot have this peace of mind right now.

Depending on the policy, cover can pay up to eighty percent of costs involved for the insured and any passengers they were carrying at the time. With this type of plan it doesn’t even matter if the person responsible for the accident was the policy holder because it will pay all medical bills, lost wages etc. This is a good reason why it is worth checking existing insurance plans to see if any of these areas are already protected, which should, in theory, lower any additional plan you take out. By checking carefully you may discover that certain costs like medical bills and other expenses are already part of your current cover.

Depending on the plan, you may not require any additional cover or only minimal in the worst case scenario. There are some other factors to consider though as to whether you actually need personal injury protection; one being your current driving record. What many drivers do not realize is that although they may be covered by their own health insurance for medical bills, other passengers, unless they are named on the policy, probably will not be.

Personal injury protection will still be required if you find that other passengers are not covered or the level of cover is so low it is almost a waste of time. It is not unfair to assume that any person traveling in your vehicle should be the responsibility of the driver and insured individual. Although you may feel fortunate if you reside in a state that does not require personal injury protection by law, that should not stop you from obtaining it for your own peace of mind.

This is one area where age and driving experience can be on the driver’s side and insurance policy costs can be lowered. Younger drivers however, do not fair so well if they are inexperienced with little insurance cover in place but they are often in greater need of good health insurance cover to protect themselves and any family they have. Accidents unfortunately happen but before you rush into buying insurance cover, look into the subject as it could save you some money but more importantly will make you feel more secure when you drive with passengers.

How to Take Good Notes

Posted By Brian Foxx on April 3, 2009 @ 3:29 am
by Brian Foxx

Good note taking can be a critical factor for college success. Making the switch from high school to college is often difficult, depending on the course structure that you are leaving behind. A lecture by a university professor may be quite different from what you are used to. But, if you have the right materials and follow a few simple rules, note taking is a skill that you can master. This article should help you do that.

Universities and colleges provide various kinds of assistance. Some lectures may be videotaped, which allows college students to see what they missed or refresh their memory. If the university that you are attending does not videotape lectures, invest in a small tape recorder. Listening to the tape, while reviewing their notes, is a study habit that many college students find beneficial.

You will, of course, need notebooks or legal pads and writing utensils. Highlighter pens are beneficial. Colleges often include handouts as a part of the course curriculum. Buy a hole-punch, so that you can store these handouts in a three ring binder. When you do use highlighters or colored pens, use them sparingly. Too much color becomes ineffective. The purpose is to attract your attention. You can also highlight key points in your own notes.

Before class, record the date and the class name. If you know what the material will be about, title the page accordingly. This will help you find what you are looking for when exam time comes around. When you are taking notes from a college text book or something in the university library, write down the name of the book. You may find that you need to return to it later, for reference. Don’t write in complete sentences, come up with phrases that will help you remember the critical points and write clearly enough so that you can read your notes later.

Some universities and colleges recommend that you use the Cornell method of note-taking. It is a relatively simple system to learn. You would follow the advice already mentioned above, but leave blank spaces between your phrases. In the margins of the page, you would list new vocabulary words or formulas. As soon as possible after class, you would review the notes and fill in the blanks by explaining the material that you just learned in your own words. If done correctly, you can create an effective study guide this way.

One mistake that a university student often makes is to forget to ask questions. If you must wait until the lecture is complete, write down any questions as they come up. Refer to your notes at the end of class and ask for an explanation. Your college success just might depend on that explanation.

What To Consider Before You Go To School Online

Posted By Michael Fleischner on April 2, 2009 @ 3:52 am
by Michael Fleischner

With so many individuals continuing their education, schools have evolved to accommodate individuals returning to school to finish a degree or to develop the skills necessary for retraining. In fact, more adults than ever are considering online education. Online degrees are popular because of the flexibility they provide.

When considering an online degree for purposes of degree completion or enriching your education, there are a number of factors you should evaluate. You should begin with a clear understanding of what you wish to accomplish through online learning. The objective for many individuals is to acquire the necessary skills to be able to secure a job in a particular industry.

Give some thought to the type of education you will need to get a job upon graduation. One way to do this is to start calling and speaking with counselors at both traditional universities and online schools. They can give you a good idea about what their programs will do for you as well as provide you with a sense of how many graduates are immediately placed in jobs.

With a slowing economy and few jobs, selecting the right degree can mean the difference between success and failure. Before choosing an online school or program, think about the industries that are doing well even in trying times. You obviously want to align your education with those industries that are creating jobs not eliminating them.

Once you have decided on the type of online program that will work best for you, consider your ability to complete such a program. Are you disciplined enough to meet all of the requirements without attending a physical classroom? Are you organized enough to meet deadlines and submit required work? Are you comfortable enough with a computer to engage in online chats, respond to emails, and complete necessary assignments online?

After you have reviewed the requirements associated with completing specific classes, take a look at the overall package. How many credits do you need to get your certificate or degree? What are the costs involved both short and long term in order to complete your degree? What is the average salary for someone in the field you are targeting? In short, will your investment pay dividends?

There are many ways to fund your online education. With the help of government programs, schools aid, and private loans, the options are many. Work with your school counselors to determine the most economical way to pay for your online education. Accredited schools and colleges have access to government funding programs that charge a low rate and make school affordable.

After graduation there are many ways that you can begin to pay down your debt. One of the best ways to eliminate debt is to find a job as quickly as possible and begin making payments toward your debt. This is why it is so important to obtain a degree that’s in high demand. Without a job, paying your debt will not be possible.

After you graduate consider loan consolidation. When you consolidate your student loans with a single vendor, you simplify the repayment process. In addition, the interest rate you pay will often be less than what you are paying on each individual loan. This lowers you monthly payment and eases the burden of your debt.

Before you begin your online school or program, inquire about repayment options associated with each funding source. Lastly, be sure to ask if student loan consolidation is possible given multiple financial providers.

Completing your degree online is a great option in our current economic climate. Before you jump right in without any preparation, consider whether or not an online education is right for you and how you are going to pay for it.

Emergency Plumbers

Posted By Johnathan Marx on March 27, 2009 @ 3:16 am
by Richard Eckly

For many homeowners, from Malibu to Orange County, calling a plumber for emergency service is as dreaded as a visit to the car mechanic. Yet just like a trip to the mechanic, emergency plumbing work is usually avoidable so long as precautionary maintenance is serious utilized.

Proper pipe maintenance entails having a qualified plumber inspect pipes every year or so and having them root out clogs from drains, tighten connections, rebalance water pressure, and address any water problems that put stress on pipes – rust, hard or soft water, etc.

By having plumbers in LA come to your home once per year to examine your pipes, perform maintenance, and make any necessary repairs, you can prevent the vast majority of all plumbing emergencies. When you consider that emergency plumbing repair can easily top five hundred dollars, the hundred and fifty bucks or so that it costs to have pipes regularly rooted, drains regularly snaked, fitting tightened, and water pressure rebalanced each year will save you money in the long run – not to mention the annoyance of a plumbing emergency.

There is so much money to be made in emergency plumbing that literally thousands of plumbers in Los Angeles earn six figures each year by performing what is effectively maintenance – pipe snaking and old joint or pipe replacement – to resolve most of the ‘emergencies’ they are called about.

For the best preventative service, plumbers in LA that have apprenticed, worked on emergency repair as well as on installation and maintenance, will be able to identify which sorts of small problems have the potential to become real plumbing emergencies.

While many homeowners view preventative plumbing as an unnecessary expense, most plumbers in Los Angeles will tell you that they even recommend regularly scheduled maintenance to their family and friends because the plumbers themselves know how expensive emergency repair service can be.

For 99.9% of homeowners, the place they call home is their most valuable asset. Shouldn’t that asset be protected from possible fire and flood? Properly working plumbing dramatically reduces the likelihood of an electrical fire or flood, which could even help homeowners looking to save money on insurance by buying less coverage.

Beyond the economics of preventative plumbing, consider what an annoyance a plumbing emergency can be if you have any doubts about the necessity of regular pipe care. More often than not, calling a plumber on an emergency basis entails missing work or whatever other activities are planned; not to mention how great the anxiety can get from watching a problem flood the kitchen or basement, or prevent you from being able to bathe because the tub won’t drain.
