Blogging - Simply Express Yourself

Posted By Stuart G Martin on December 11, 2008 @ 1:09 pm

Complaining - can we really do that in public? Life is unfair, we all know it, but the moment you give voice to what you feel about it, you’ll be labeled as a complainer. What’s worse, when you complain, whoever’s listening might feel compelled to add their own two cents without giving you the chance to vent out your feelings.

So what you need is a place where you can let it all out, without interruptions and annoying advice you really don’t want to hear and doesn’t help. Welcome to blogging!

When you have something on your mind, you have to let it out. You also need someone to agree with you. Let’s face it, nobody wants logical reasoning when you just want to get something off your chest.

Whether you want to indulge yourself and wallow in self-pity for a while - there is no shame in that when it makes you feel better after a while - or you want to just yell about something, there is nothing like finding somebody who feels the same way you do.

This is why going through a few blogs by similar minded people, and you will find plenty of similar minded people, will do you a world of good. You can scribble something about how you feel, put it up, then browse around and find kindred souls, leave a few comments letting them know you know exactly how they feel, and voila! you’ll feel tons better.

If you prefer a rational discussion that explains your point of view, blogging again is the step to take. No matter what you’re concerned about - whether it’s your favourite contestant on American Idol being voted off, or the presidential election, or the stock market crash, or the black hole into which pairs of socks mysteriously disappear - you can put your take up in your blog, and find both people who agree and those who disagree, for your rational discussion.

Even if it’s something as personal as a fight with your at-the-moment-not-exactly-better half, you can always vent by just writing about it. After all, it is a well known fact that putting something down in words and then reading it is a great way to set things in the right perspective.

No matter what you are upset about, misery always loves company. There is a whole world of people out there who share your opinion, or feel the way you do, no matter how sad or mad you are. All you have to do is find them - and blogs make this a lot easier!

Raise Your Price: Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

Posted By Neeraj Varma on December 6, 2008 @ 5:00 pm

Willie Crawford says “you can charge thousands for things that others are charging hundreds for”. His comment is based on 35 years experience in direct marketing and 12 years in marketing information products online.

Willie was interviewed by Rob Toth as part of Dan Kennedy’s Info Riches course. Rob interviewed the top information marketers for a series called the “Future Of Information Marketing”.

Willie’s advice is to “focus on selling a product that offers a solution to a really, really huge and painful problem…one that people would happily pay to solve”. Many people try to sell things that the market really doesn’t want. But in Willie’s experience “people know what they want”. Trying to sell something that they don’t want or don’t understand why they need it or should want it won’t get you very far. You will face an uphill battle. Success is not likely.

First you need to do some research. “Find something that is so incredibly painful that people would do almost anything to buy the solution.” Next, find the best solution in the market and let them know you have it.

It’s not necessary for your product or service to be perfect. You just have to offer something that is noticeably better than what anyone else is offering.

As an example, consider the baby boomer market. These people are getting old and sick. They are willing to do anything to avoid the pain and eliminate the disease. Many of these people have a lot of money too.

Also, among the baby boomers, lots of people are going to be in difficult circumstances because they are not invested in the right place. You can be their savior.

Many baby boomers have money and the time to do some travelling. If you offer them a great travel package you’ll have a winner.

The biggest problem people have is “not properly valuing their expertise, so they are underpriced”.

You need to demonstrate and prove the value of your product or service with good copywriting skills. Just “take a deep breath and add another zero or two zeros” to your price. Willie says to “keep a straight face and people will pay those prices because it’s not about the prices. It’s about delivering experiences. It’s about delivering value to people’s lives.”

You need to positition yourself at the high end of the price-quality spectrum. “Once you learn to position yourself as THE expert who has the information those people are looking for then it’s really not that difficult to sell to those people,” says Willie.

“People who are willing to pay more money are looking for a higher end product. They are looking for expertise that the average person can’t afford. Just let them know that’s you and they’ll buy it.

Value Your Knowledge: Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

Posted By Neeraj Varma on December 4, 2008 @ 4:23 am

Would a simple way to make a five figure income every month grab your attention? Gaj Subudhi of superstarsmarketing.com built his business up from scratch to five figures per month in a short period of time. His strategy was to buy courses, use them, then take his personal experience and package it up to help others.

Gaj was interviewed by Rob Toth as part of Dan Kennedy’s Info Riches course. The full series of interviews involving the top information marketers is called “Future Of Information Marketing”.

As a software architect, Gaj had been working for a large company until he started his online business. Up to that point he didn’t know anything about business or marketing.

Gaj was like the rest of us. He started buying course after course so he wouldn’t make any important mistakes. He wanted to “know it all” before he started his business. Gaj says “if you put more information into your brain it creates more opportunity”. He was certainly creating more “opportunity” but unfortunately he wasn’t making any money from it. The money started coming in when he started applying what he learned.

There were a lot of gaps between what the courses said and what happened in real life. When he started explaining these things to people he became a man-in-demand. Gaj says to “use and apply information to create value in the world”. He found that the knowledge he gained from applying what he learned had value for others.

There is a lot of information on the in the world. In an effort to keep up, people buy course after course but the problem is that they don’t apply what they learn. They get stuck at a certain point so they quit. Gaj says the big money is in “helping people consume in the right way”. This is even more important than learning a lot of different things.

Information is so easily available. There are courses and books that were sold for a lot of money which are now available for free on the Internet. If you have a lot of information you just end up with “analysis paralysis”. Acquiring more and more information doesn’t allow you to “have your own value or your own voice”, says Gaj.

Gaj says that people should “do something with whatever they know” and “try to expose the value of what you know to help people”. “Create your own value out of the existing information” that you already have.

The way Gaj sees it, people don’t have enough self-confidence to value their own knowledge. There will always be more and more to learn. The amount of information available to people is growing at an exponential rate. There is a video on YouTube that every information marketer should see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpEnFwiqdx8 .

Based on this video you can see that the best sevice you can provide to people is to help them reduce their information overload by sharing what you know through experience. At some point you have to just trust that what you know will be valuable for others and put it out there. “Taking action is critical,” says Gaj. There’s lots of talk out there but information based on experience is what is most helpful for people.

Blogger’s Paradise

Posted By Stuart G Martin on December 3, 2008 @ 12:51 am

Manuscripts - those things we lovingly pour our hearts into, only to get rejected by publishers and sent back with a ‘better luck next time’ note. All writers have been there and it’s not a pleasant place.

This must have been so repetitive that, out of frustration, the idea of blogging must have entered the brains of some ingenious individual. This is the simplest way of doing away with those editors who maintained a monarchy in the realms of the publishing world. Blogging is a wonderful way to express your feelings. You can write on whatever subject you like and there is nobody to reject you.

There are no boundaries for the topics. You can write on anything that exists or doesn’t exist. You can let your imagination flow.

Writing on topics that are unknown to you can also become a hit. There would be several people who would extend their criticism or judgment on your writing style and ideas. All you have to do is find the right blog for your creative freedom.

An extra benefit that merits mention is that you can also make money off blogs. Once you have a few readers and more than a few hits, you can put up pay per click ads on your blog. This solves the final problem of eliminating publishers - you can get paid for writing absolutely what you like.

Among the many common themes used for blogging, how-to blogs take a high position. There’s always someone who can tell you what to do about something, whether it’s a situation, household need, hobby or whatever it is. There are also those who dedicate their time to delve into the weirder side of living and dig up various tid-bits of weird news to throw out your boredom.

If your taste runs to lifestyle tips and the like, there are plenty of blogs that will give you more than enough. Or maybe you would just like to read about your favourite TV shows - you can bet that there will be plenty of bloggers who love those shows too.

No matter what you want to know, there are people who want to tell you - for no real reason other than that they just want to. No matter what you want to say, there will be people who want to listen. That’s what blogs are for!

How to Run a Business from Home

Running a Business from Home: Making Your First Million

Running a business from home may seem a very viable idea. Before going into any kind of business, it is imperative that you are aware of the attributes of a good business idea and how you can come up with one. In the first place what makes a business successful? A successful business is one that meets customers’ needs better than they are met elsewhere. It doesn’t have to offer something completely new, it just have to have an element that makes people think. ?That is something good. I will try it?.

A Great Business Idea

How can you come up with a great business idea? It comes through the observation of everyday life, and by listening to people who you come into contact with. One good example is that when I came into contact with a group of elderly men who experience low sexual libido because of old age. They came across some libido capsules brought in from mainland China. These capsules were so good that kept them talking about the scarcity of supply as the original retailer has been missing for some time. So I thought should I trace the supplier from mainland China this would be a good business to go into because the number of golden age people who needs this product run into millions and if I just make one dollar from each client, I would be a millionaire just selling capsules. So an idea of importing the capsules for sale was born and I am now on my way to make my first million.

Another good example is of a thirty something woman with three children. If the kids saw a toy advertised on television they wanted it but once this object of desire is home and unwrapped it would lose its appeal.

The kids want something special at party time so that their friends could enjoy a bit out of the ordinary for the duration of the party. But buying big expensive toys is out of he question for just one time use. Other mothers are facing the same problems. From this a germ of an idea was born. Upon discussing, the mothers came up with an idea of setting up a store to rent out exclusive and expensive toys for the one-time use at parties. This idea led to a lucrative business catering for the needs of mothers who were originally caught in a dilemma regarding special expensive toys for a one-time use. These expensive toys are specially rented for party use.

Do Your Homework

Once you strike on an idea, do not rush in without first evaluating your idea strategically by asking yourself a number of pertinent questions. Running a business from home is a risky affair, and you often do not have that much capital to go around making mistakes.

Why has no one done it before in the geographical location that you have in mind? Surely you are not the first person with the idea but why has the other person abandoned the idea. When you are passionately carried away by your idea it is natural for you to overlook the weaknesses of the idea. What works in a different country does not necessarily work in yours.

Writing Your Own Poetry

Posted By Carrie Hull on November 20, 2008 @ 8:24 pm

The most popular style of our time is the ‘free verse’ style. This form originated in the late 19th century, with Walt Whitman being credited for it. Before this form was introduced, poetry was restricted to certain form.

Scansion is the analyzing of pattern, rhyme and meter in formal poetry. Commonly, a letter is placed at the end of the last word in each line. Usually starting with A then B and so on….

For example if the first two line rhyme with each other, their letters would be AA. If the second set of lines rhyme with each other the rhyme pattern would be AABB. If the fifth line doesn’t rhyme a C would be introduced and so on.

Next, we are concerned with meter. Each line contains a set number of beats, usually two or three syllables. The most common beat is ‘Iambic pentameter’. The individual beats consist of a short and a strong pulse. This beat is present in words such as ‘arrest, domain, forsooth’. The accent is on the second syllable.

Enough of the rules already, let’s get to the fun stuff. When you tell stories or write letters what do you start with? Something you overheard, witnessed, or read about? The best way to start a poem is to begin with what you’re most comfortable with.

Think of what type of poem you had in mind. Will it be a story, a comment, a character study? It is best to skim through some examples to get you started off. It is also important to take breaks like going for a walk or to bed. When you come back, jot things down. It does not have to be orderly.

It may take many weeks or months to get your poem finished. If your having trouble, take a break. When you come back, carry on from the last line in your poem. You will be delighted at what comes out.

How to Make Money With Unique Article Wizard Strategy 1

Posted By Scott S. on @ 8:00 am

I purchased Unique Article Wizard just yesterday, and have already tested the product out. The fact is, Unique Article wizard works, and makes it easy to submit hundreds of unique articles to thousands of directories. So, I figured, since the product works all I needed to do was figure out some of the best ways to use it in order to make money. I brainstormed a bit and came up with 7 main strategies that you could use to make money with Unique Article Wizard, 6 of which I will be teaching you all about over the course of the next few days.

This is method 1, so if you haven’t already started in on the series, then this is where it all begins. All though you don’t necessarily need to learn the different techniques in any particular order. This method involves selling your services to people who don’t know about the software you’re using. Sure it’s a little tricky, but there definitely isn’t anything wrong with it, and you could still sell your services even if they did know what software you were using (you would just be able to charge less).

Step one) Signup to a popular web master forum and then start building your reputation. To build your reputation you should build your post count and maybe complete a few offers for itrader, or some other sort of reputation system. In my opinion digital point forums are probably the best for selling your products since they have a large user base and everyone’s pretty friendly on there.

2. Setup a business plan, decide on the prices you will charge per article you submit. Determine whether you will be writing the articles, or they will. Remember, if they only write one article, you will have to help with a bit of the unique-ifying process. I would suggest asking that users write 3 articles for you, with an identical number of paragraphs, but completely different wording. With the services you’re offering you’ll still be able to charge plenty. Once you have though of all the details for your project then you’re ready to move on to the next step.

3) Open a sales thread in the appropriate Buy/Sell/Trade forum and market your product. Remember, this is the only information users will get on your service, so provide specifics, and make sure you entice them to use your services! Article submission service has been around for a while so you’ll need to offer new low prices/or great service with your UAW software. DO WORK!

4) Now you’re pretty much done. You’ve created a thread and offered cheap unique article submission services. This is something almost everybody wants, if only they knew that they could get UAW and do all this themselves. Keep it a secret though, we don’t want our market getting too saturated now do we!?
